Bert Kindåker

Bert Kindåker started working at Reijmyre as early as 13 years old, right after elementary school. His talent was soon noticed, and he was tutored by designer Tyko Axelsson. When Tyko left the mill, Bert had to take over and produce graphite molds for casting figures, a specialty of Reijmyre at the time. He then had the opportunity to design his own products. His interest in different techniques can be seen in the Etyd crystal bowl, where his skills in grinding gave him the the idea for the sharpened blades, as well as in the Reflex series, where he developed a special method to create the twisted pattern in the bottom of the glass. A more than 40-year career at Reijmyre has also resulted in highly esteemed products such as the carafe and selter glass in the Slottet series.
