Monica Bratt

Monica Bratt came to Reijmyre Glasbruk in 1937, and she was given the confidence to build a completely new collection on her own. Bratt wanted to make an effort for the utility glass and was driven by a desire to make, as she put it, "more beautiful everyday products". Together with Reijmyre's skilled glassblowers, Monica Bratt managed to give the mill new life. Her artistic efforts brought Reijmyre Glasbruk to a leading position among Swedish glassworks. During the more than 20 years that Monica worked at the mill, she designed a large number of products, some of which were manufactured right into the 1990s. She worked a lot with color, and the ruby red glass became a hall mark for her. Many products designed by Monica Bratt are collector's items.
