Tomas Harila Carlgren

Tomas Harila Carlgren, born in 1961 in Tornio, is one of the most prominent designers in Reijmyre's history. He took glassmaking to new artistic levels, and his versatile work stands for consistently high quality. He is an acclaimed Swedish designer who is also a Royal Court Supplier. The Arise glass series for Reijmyre glassworks was designed for the Crown Princess' wedding, and the cocktail glass was used for the starter. Tomas Harila Carlgren has taught design, art and design history at Beckman's School of Design, Glasgow School of Art and the University of Art in Sweden, Finland and Scotland.
