Slottet wine glass

The elegant wine glass is part of the glass series Slottet, which came about through a collaboration between Reijmyre and the 18th-century expert Lars Sjöberg, then curator at the National Museum in Stockholm. The Slottet series also includes a selter glass, a serving plate and a carafe. All parts are mouth-blown and made in the same way as in the 18th century. The punch mark under the glass remains after the glassblower has knocked the glass off the glassblower's pipe and shows the glass is handmade.

The shimmering air bubble in the leg is created using water vapor that is formed when you quickly let a damp wooden stick meet the hot the glass mass. The generous foot, cone-shaped cup and the air bubble in the leg are typical details of 18th century glass.

It is without decor and as stylish and classically beautiful as the selter glass, plate and carafe in the same series.
